We provide grants to organisations whose objectives align with those of the Trust. Our principal charitable objective is "the advancement of Progressive Judaism".
We support both established and emerging Progressive Jewish communities and are keen to hear from you, whether or not you have applied to the Trust before. When considering competing applications, we prefer to make grants to organisations within the Liberal part of the Progressive Jewish movement.
It is important that projects and proposals demonstrate value for money. We prefer to see full quotations from suppliers, rather than the applicant’s own estimates, wherever possible.
Your application may be strengthened if you can confirm that you have raised or will be able to raise part of the funds from within your own organisation or from other sources.
We will award a grant only for specific pieces of work, purchases or projects as set out in the grant application and which have not been started or purchased before the grant has been confirmed. Payment of the grant will be made to successful applicants on receipt of proof that the work has been completed and the purchases made.
We do not usually support salaries or on-going running costs of synagogues or other organisations although we may award limited such grants to new and emerging synagogues. We do not provide funding for major building works.
Applications may be granted in full, or in part, or declined.
